The role of IRIS in online care
IRIS provides a cheap and flexible solution for remote care. IRIS works according to all the principles of a webcam but has 1 important advantage: you can make eye contact with your client. And that is of essential importance to online care. After all, your client must be able to trust you, you wish to convince or reassure him.

Online care is starting to take an increasingly important role in the heath service. Qualitative care will in time no longer be possible with only the traditional methods. Due to a shortage of manpower but also because the elderly retain control of their own lives and remain in their own homes increasingly longer.
The Dutch Institute for Heath Service Research (Nivel) has investigated the experiences with remote care. It emerged that both the health workers and the clients were particularly positive. The Centre for Global Health Innovation, University Health Network in Toronto, Canada investigated remote care via online consultations. 92% of all the participants indicated that they thought eye contact was of overriding importance.
Application opportunities for IRIS with online care
